David Sanderson better known as David Harks is an English artist based in Berlin, Germany. With collaborations, remixes, and originals spanning far and wide across multiple labels, genres inc. exquisite disco, jazz-inspired cinematic spoken word to the very outer reaches of progressive cosmic rock. Contributing as an artist, singer, songwriter, and producer to labels inc; Leng, Soundcolours, Splinter, Eskimo Recordings, Boogie Angst, Kitsuné Records, Paper Recordings, Sunday Best, EMI Harvest (Pink Floyd), Wh0 Plays, and now his own varied imprint Amity. Uniquely dextrous as a songwriter, David is a talented vocalist and live performer his original voicings, lyrical messages, and productions caught the attention of U.S legends Ron Trent, and Larry Heard to be remixed by. In the Nu Disco realm, David is responsible for penning alt classic streaming success Northern Lights with Satin Jackets. Capping 45 Million streams across platforms globally. Additionally contributed to a string of top-performing iTunes releases for German Dance indie Innovators Blank & Jones, building himself a strong reputation and online presence in Germany. In 2022 David teamed up with Swedish super producer Rasmus Faber to create yet another Nu Disco classic Never Enough, alongside additional remixes by Japan-based Balearic Brit darling Max Essa out on Paper Wave, Paper Recordings - remixes supported by longtime disco tastemaker Cosmo Murphy on her Balearic Breakfast show. Editorial support over the years has seen praise for David’s broad appeal, tipping caps have been Neon Gold, Thump, Vice’s Creators platform, DIY, Clash, and Ban Ban Ton Ton for his contributions to music. With Radio support on various copyrights and projects from Tom Robinson, Lauren Lavern - Radio 6, Sister Bliss, Colleen Cosmo Murphy, Ibiza Global Radio, Bill Brewster, and Rob Da Bank to name a few.


David is still often seen as a new discovery by artists, DJs, and listeners alike, it's hard to connect the dots between the worlds this journeyman has chaptered, many would perhaps not know the direct relations to songs he has laid a hand to. A combination of a unique voice, sharp songwriting, and tasteful production have caught the attention of the music industry's finest to collaborate with and be remixed by. Building notoriety almost always outside the mainstream view, David's collaborations portfolio is a mix of legends and yet-to-be-discovered magicians, from prog rock vocals for the Amorphous Androgynous lost EMI release The Witchfinder to his vocal contributions on the extensive sampledelica remix by the AA for Noel Gallagher - David's cosmic rock witch voice can be heard smoothly soaring throughout the NGHFB - AKA What a life remix. Always offering a heartfelt calling to the Universe in his writing indie creeper Gold of the Highest with Parisian act Safetalk was credibly noted as an absolute classic and remixed by 80's new romantic electro archivist Rusty Egan (Visage). Contributing as a producer to Leng on the Nu Disco Chugger Susta feat. remixes from The Emperor Machine written alongside Claremont 56 Founder Paul 'Mudd' Murphy, David found his way to abstract disco via obscure slo-mo San Fran Legends 40 Thieves, penning alt-country disco Serpent Strut on the imprint, subsequently remixed by maestro Larry Heard. An artist true as the word collaborator can inspire to suggest, rarely in the mainframe - wandering the planet in search of fresh starts, and humble partnerships, David has an aim to always discover the diamonds in the ruff.
